At Caribé Coffee, we roast our coffee daily so we can offer the finest espresso to enjoy in store or on the go, and fresh whole beans ground on demand for purchase. All of our green coffee is imported fresh from The Caribbean, Central & South America and Africa.
Small batches roasted by origin in our Has Garanti Turkish drum coffee roaster. Post blended by hand daily we roast each origin in a specific way. We are then able to ensure maximum flavour and cup characteristic of each blend and single origin on offer.
Our Gold Medal Winning Blend, Caribe Gold, can be purchased in packs of both ground and whole beans.

Founded in 2008 by Naomi and Zachary Widener, after three long years of planning and experimental roasting.
Zach, although from Miami, was raised in Jamaica and yearned with a strong passion to showcase his culture. “The Caribbean is an amazing place with a mixture of people, colours, culture, and a dubious past of pirates drinking copious amounts of Rum!”
Naturally teaming up Naomi and her vast experience in managing some of Wellingtons most iconic cafes and bars, was always to lead towards this ever-increasingly successful path.
At Caribé Café we love the environment as much as we love making coffee and we go out of our way to ensure that we have minimal impact on the planet in bringing our coffee to you.
We are one of the few cafes in the country to use compostable and biodegrable take-away coffee cups, which are made from plants, not oil. www.ecoware.co.nz
We also use compostable and biodegradable food containers from www.kiwigreenpak.co.nz
We are part of Wellington City Council's 'Kai to Compost' recycling program, we recycle the plastic bladders that our milk comes in and our used coffee grinds are put to good use in the soil at the Wellington Botanic Gardens and the Wellington Zoo.
All of these efforts result in 80% of our total waste being recycled, rather than ending up at a landfill.
